The Waiting Game

Like a kid on Christmas Eve...

I just had my own family photos done. After planning outfits and picking a location, and then yelling at my kids (and husband) to use their "soft smiles", the session is done.

And now we wait. And it's hard. Wondering if we got any good shots. With 5 kids, a silly husband, and all that chaos. I have a great photographer who has wrangled my herd for several years now. But I still worry that come time to order Christmas cards, did we get any good shots. I am also excited, cause I know that my photographer is amazing. And I know I have a beautiful family.

I know that when you are done with a session for me you may be wondering the same thing. I know you're excited, too. As much as we trust our photographers, the waiting game is hard.

If you have followed my blog for a while, you know that I only schedule about one session a week. I do this for my own work/life balance, but I also do it because I pride myself on a quick turn around time. I have been using Photoshop for more than 20 years, so I can usually hand edit an entire gallery in just a few hours. While I guarantee a two week turn around time on standard sessions, I typically try to deliver galleries in about 48 hours depending on what else I have going on. So if you schedule a session with me, don't be surprised if your gallery is delivered the next day!

The waiting is the hardest part. So I do my very best to deliver beautiful galleries as quickly as possible! So if you need a photographer in the Mid-South, let me know!
