Photography Lessons Help Unlock Your Creativity

Photography is one of those skills that seems simple at first—you point, click, and capture a moment. But as anyone who’s picked up a camera knows, there’s so much more to it. Understanding light, composition, camera settings, and editing can turn an ordinary snapshot into something truly special. While trial and error can teach you a lot, there’s real value in learning from someone with experience who can guide you through common frustrations and help you improve faster.

One of the biggest advantages of photography lessons is learning how to see like a photographer. It’s not just about understanding camera settings—it’s about training your eye to recognize good lighting, strong composition, and the subtle details that make an image compelling. A well-taught lesson helps you develop this skill faster, showing you how to anticipate great shots rather than just reacting to them. Instead of relying on luck for the perfect photo, you’ll start making intentional creative choices that bring your vision to life.

That’s why I’m excited to offer photography lessons through Three Chickadees Photography. With years of military training and hands-on experience behind the lens, I’ve developed a deep understanding of both the technical and artistic sides of photography. More importantly, I love sharing that knowledge with others, whether you’re a beginner trying to get comfortable with a new camera or someone looking to refine your skills.

Lessons are completely customizable, meaning we’ll focus on what you want to learn—whether that’s shooting in manual mode, improving composition, working with natural light, or editing your images. Some people prefer structured instruction, while others learn best by doing, and I’m happy to adjust to what works best for you.

I’ve been fortunate to work with many wonderful clients in Bartlett, TN, and the Mid-South area, and I’m excited to extend that experience to teaching. If you've been wanting to improve your photography but aren’t sure where to start, a few focused lessons can make a huge difference. Let’s take your skills to the next level—one step at a time.
